Why do you not set your layouts in one time period |

The Boston MRS is a small group of Railway Modelers who live in the area around Boston in Lincolnshire. The members all have different interests so unlike other MRS's who build layouts which have all there stock and buildings set in one time period the Boston MRS runs any stock from any period. In addition to this we're all a frendly bunch and feel that being small halps us harbor a community feeling. One new member commented that our club is a frendleyer enviroment then other local clubs that he tried.

We work on the keep something running philosophy. We do this because when the public visit exhibitions they want to see something running. If there isn't anything happening on a layout they will leave. As long as the loco and the train are from the same period it doesn't matter that there is a EWS class 66 on a coal train running along side an ex LNER A4 pacific on an express.

You can join this society by just coming along to the club room. We suggest that you make more then one visit so that you can decide weather you whish to join. SubscriptionsThe clubs subscription rate is £20 per year. There is also a weekly donation payment of £3 each night you attend after you've joined. Children are also welcome to join the juniors section. Juniors subscription is £10 subscription and £1.50 weekly donation. |
The money we raise from members goes towards the renting of the club room and buying of materials for club activities. Money raized from the ammual exhibition helps the cub suvive but without the yearly subscription and weekly donations the club wouldn't suvive. So if you do come and see us please join as without new members the club wouldn't suvive. |

Updates:Well yet again the website has gone a long period without being updated. However this has now been done with new pictures of the 2008 exhibition and some old pics of the Club Layout being put up. In addition details of the 2009 exhibition have now been added. The last update was December 2008 |
