Boston Model Railway Exhibition 2011

The 2011 Boston Model Railway Exhibition took place at Stickney Village Hall on the 17th and 18th of September.

This year John Jarvill was able to attend with Silver Springs. However another layout wasn’t.

Harry one of our longest regular exhibitors sadly passed away in the time since last year’s Castor Exhibition. He built a different layout for us each year and will be sorely missed.

On a lighter note this year the club unveiled our new trophy. Named in memory of Dave Brunning it was presented to the layout judged best in show by the public. This was won by Summat Colliery by Ian Mellors.

Also a new trader was made welcome and a part built 7ΒΌ inch gauge locomotive was on display. This locomotive is now awaiting it's final paintwork but has ran at the Evergreens Miniaure Railway

The following layouts attended:

Summat Colliery

Cottlestone

Castle Milldale

Morton Bottom Yard

Nearly Done

Gosunderton

Silver Springs NG Railroad Museum
